The kids loved doing sidewalk chalk on the patio during a rain storm a few weeks ago. Talmage, being the little scientist he is, couldn't just draw with the chalk though. He had to see what it was like if it was wet, if it was soaked, if it worked at the bottom of a puddle, and how fast it would dissolve if left in water. Anya is our little artist and loves all mediums -- though she thought that the chalk was food when I first pulled it out of the package. She tried to take a big bite off it when I gave her the first piece. After I explained to her what it was she didn't try to eat it again but loved drawing and pretending to write with it. She also followed and assisted Talmage in a few of his experiments.
