Bikes

This is Talmages's new bike. He was very excited to give Anya his old bike, and she was very excited to receive it. USAA (the Company Aaron works for) has a program were they give each employee $350 a year to use for fitness equipment or gym membership fees. Aaron also did something else to raise that amount to $400 this year. So Talmage and I were able to get bikes. Aaron got one last year. I have only ridden mine to the park and around the neighborhood. I'm still not feeling super good, but to go from needing a wheelchair in the Emergency Room three months ago to riding a bike a little feels great! Aaron's bike is in the background. Mine isn't shown but it is a light blue TREK mountain bike made for women. I really like it.

Our Fence is Done

This weekend we got our fence all done. Aaron borrowed a paint sprayer from a manager at work and was able to spray the sealant on the fence. It only took an hour. Anya and Talmage love playing in the backyard. Today Talmage really worked on learning to throw a Frisbee. He can throw it three quarters of the way across the yard and mostly straight when he concentrates. He also was able to catch the Frisbee. Anya loves to peek out through the cracks in the fence (a most Dursley-ish thing to do).

Family on Bridge

This is us sitting on a bridge at the Japanese Tea Gardens in San Antonio. Proof that it is green here. The spring here is amazing. I've never seen such a beautiful, long spring. It started in February and lasted through May. It is hot now but we've at enough rain to keep things growing and blooming.

Tall Talmage

Talmage climbing on the railing to show us how big he is.

Purple Anya

Anya at the Tea Gardens in March. Her hair is longer now so she doesn't have the whale spout anymore. But she's kept the curls.

Brother and Sister

Talmage and Anya looking at each other, how cute.

Family Picture

Having fun at the Tea Gardens.

Family Totem

We had a friend take some family pictures of us at the Japanese Tea Gardens. These are a few months old.

BYU- Idaho shirts

Talmage and Anya love their BYU-Idaho shirt from Honey Gram. Anya wants to wear her "Moe Moe I ho" (Elmo Idaho) shirt everyday but it spends more time in the wash than anywhere else. Talmage still loves puppy!

Outside of house

This is what the house looked like before we moved in. The grass and trees were so dead looking. Now things are much greener. The person standing at the door is our field manager(not one of us).

Daddy's big helper

Talmage and Aaron building a shelf for the kids room. Talmage is actually using the electric screw driver (with close supervision). They are in the living room. You can see the dinning room in the background. The door you see behind Aaron is a closet and the guest room and bathroom are back there too. Also notice my lovely green walls. It was a lot of work to paint them but I love the color!

Anya outside

Anya loves playing outside, in her swimming suit, with her Backyardigans bubbles. Her foot is fine, she doesn't even realize she stands on it like that some times.

Ready for Sprinkler

Talmage and Anya getting ready to play in the sprinkler. Talmage is showing his muscles, not his armpit!

Weather in San Antonio has been hot, somewhere between 80 and 90 for several weeks. We are enjoying having a backyard.
